Over 36 years in Sales and Pricing leadership at UPS, I've "successfully" negotiated hundreds of complex transportation agreements with many of the top businesses in the US. I developed an extensive knowledge of the national, regional and local carriers that make up the small parcel market.
Although I focused on helping my clients improve their businesses in many ways, however...my ultimate goal was to protect and grow profit...UPS profit!
Now those businesses have me and a my team of industry experts working for them, sharing in-depth knowledge of the latest carrier rates & trends, preparing them for carrier negotiating tactics and guiding them to optimize their distribution, reduce their rates and maximize their profits.
My experience includes years as a senior pricing analyst gaining in depth knowledge of how carrier agreements maximize profit for the carrier. I was as a master negotiation facilitator, teaching the art of negotiation to thousands of carrier sales reps.
In my final project I played a key role in the design and implement 0f UPS's most recent AI-based pricing system, UPS Deal Manager.
